Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are probably the most popular browsers nowadays. Each of them has its own adepts, who base their choice on such characteristics as speed and ease of use.
This browser looks very similar to Mozilla Firefox. It has a tabbed interface, as most modern browsers do, which allows you to open various web pages simultaneously. Moreover, you can change its appearance by using any of the various themes available. Also, it has an old-style menu where you can easily find most commands. Still, some users might prefer not to waste screen space on that. For them, there’s the possibility of simply hiding the menu.
The application can render the contents of web pages, even the heaviest ones, quite speedily and it uses less system resources than Firefox, mostly when you open several tabs at the same time. However, it doesn’t seem to be any faster than Chrome. Regrettably, it cannot handle every Chrome’s extension but it has a few of its own.
All in all, I’ve been using the latest version of Blackhawk Web Browser for a week without having any problems. However, I feel that there are not enough reasons that justify “converting” to this browser. Nevertheless, it’s advisable to keep an eye on future versions and wait for its developer to finally deliver something really different.
Pros
- It’s easy to use
- It’s fast
- It has a nice interface
- It uses low resources
Cons
- It doesn’t support all Chrome’s extensions
- Some users may not like the menu
Nice browser, but it is very difficult to find information about the various version and their technical information. And I had problems running an older version after I uninstalled a newer, portable version until I discovered that I needed to create a new Chrome user and then delete the former one (including its user profile and preferences.) But it is now running fine so it was worth doing.
And it's up to date, unlike Comodo IceDragon.
I just installed this one. So far so good! It's perfect as I was looking for a browser with all the functionality with Google, with the features of Firefox. This app combines both. I'm just praying that it does not have the memory leaks that Firefox has. I also don't like that I can't see ABP even though I did add it and it is working. I guess that's part of the incognito browsing functionality. No true complaints so far. It could use a makeover. Other than that it's perfect. Here's to hoping it stays that way!!! :)
